NEW FALL CLASSES BEGIN SEPTEMBER 11.
Here are important courses you can attend on Sunday mornings and throughout the week. Choose two or three. Join your friends and make new friends as you grow in faith and understanding.
Lutheran Christianity: What We Believe
11 Sessions: September 11-November 27 (no class October 30)
Instructors: Rev. Thomas A. Eggold, Mrs. Lana Hille, Rev. Daniel Sheafer
Location: Brandt Hall
For all new members and members who would like a refresher, this course examines what Lutherans believe, why we believe it, and why it’s important. There will be chances to ask questions about God and faith and religion. Lutheran Christianity is a path to church membership, but the class in no way obligates students to join Emmanuel.
Cup of Kindness boxes can be found in the Welcome Center. The money contributed in the boxes is distributed by Lutheran Social Services to local families who have crisis needs.

Do It All in Jesus’ Name - Stephen Ministers bring distinctively Christian care to those in need. They use both words and deeds to express Christ’s care for others—listening and comforting, calling on the training they have received and employing the tools of faith. If this job description fits your personal goals for ministry, consider becoming a Stephen Minister. A training class is starting in September. For more information, call Lana Hille in the church office at 423-1369.
Emmanuel Golf Outing – On Saturday, October 1st, at 9:00 a.m. we will hold the 31st Annual Emmanuel Golf Outing at Eel River Golf Course. This fundraiser has become a highlight of our church calendar, and serves as the sole fundraising event for the Heidbrink Scholarship Fund. As a congregation, we consider quality Lutheran education a tremendous blessing and a major focus of our church mission, and we strive to make Lutheran secondary education possible for all who desire it. The Heidbrink Scholarship Fund helps make this vision a reality for many families. The most obvious way you can take part in this event is to play golf. The cost of the outing is $60.00 per golfer and includes greens fee, cart, and a meal after the event. Even if you are not a golfer you can play a vital role in raising money for this important ministry of our church. You can…
v Volunteer to assist with the outing. We can always use helpers to prepare for and host the outing.
v Sponsor a hole for $150, help underwrite lunch for $75 or provide a donation of $50 to assist with the snack cart. These sponsorships are the heart of our fundraising efforts for the Golf Outing.
v Make a donation of any amount to the Emmanuel Golf Outing. 100% of the donations made to the Golf Outing will go directly into the Heidbrink Scholarship Fund. These can be made by simply writing “Emmanuel Golf Outing” on the “other” line of your offering envelope.
For any other information on the Emmanuel Golf Outing, or to volunteer or participate as a sponsor, please call Pastor Eggold, Pastor Sheafer or our Office Manager, Becki Elonzae at 423-1369.
