A CARING FAMILY SHARING GOD’S LOVE AND FORGIVENESS.
Emmanuel Lutheran Church is a caring family of baptized Christians bound together in the forgiveness that God has provided all people through His Son. Our family of faith exists to announce that gift of forgiveness to individuals of all nations, races, and cultures by preaching God's Word and sharing the Sacraments. Emmanuel follows and teaches the confessional standard of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Our members reach out through loving, forgiving relationships to connect and support all members of the family.
Lutherans build their lives on Jesus Christ. They believe Jesus is the only, perfect, Son of God. They believe that Jesus died for them and for every person in the world. And Lutherans believe that Jesus rose from the dead and lives for them and for all people who believe in him as their Savior.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8

Services. Our 5 p.m. Saturday service offers contemporary music and a relaxed, informal style. Sunday morning services are held at 8 and 10:30 a.m. and follow a more formal order of worship. Holy Communion is offered in the 8 a.m. service on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, and during the 10:30 service on the first, third, and fifth Sundays. Communion in the Saturday service always corresponds to the communion schedule in the 10:30 Sunday service. Our services generally last around an hour.
Emmanuel offers handicap parking on Jackson Street and in the parking lot east of the church. Valet service, wheelchairs, and elevator access to the sanctuary are available at the covered-drive entrance on West Jefferson Boulevard, and there is a ramp at the west entrance to the church. A hearing loop and large-print service folders are available for those who are hearing- or vision-impaired.
Emmanuel’s Ministry Plan is a detailed summary of how we will carry out God’s work at Emmanuel during each ministry season. This plan begins with our Mission Statement: “We are a caring family sharing God’s love and forgiveness.”
This Mission Statement expresses the unique reason Emmanuel Lutheran Church exists. It also serves to unify the work of our congregation and provides us with a clear context for understanding our ministry goals.
